Houthalen-Helchteren, September 27, 2024 – On Friday, September 27, 2024, Flemish Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Lidia Peeters, will open the completely renovated EVport Business Center in Houthalen-Helchteren. With a surface area of 2000 m², the business center offers modern offices that fully cater to the needs of contemporary companies, combined with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.
The EVport Business Center officially opened its doors today. The Business Center is the place for companies that want to move forward. The generated energy is used for the large public charging station park with 28 connections and 2 fast chargers that can charge up to 320 KW, where both employees and visitors can charge their electric vehicles 24/7 with self-generated green electricity.
That is possible even when the sun isn’t shining. Because the surplus energy on sunny days is also stored in a high-tech battery storage system, making green electricity available even when the sun is temporarily not shining.
EVport Business Center also uses an AI-driven energy management system. This smart system ensures the intelligent storage of energy, taking into account the current energy prices.
